JSMC Election Special News

Jai Jinendra, The Diwali festivities at Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago (JSMC) have concluded, and the community is now preparing for the election of four trustees on Sunday, November 16, 2025. All Executive Committee member positions are uncontested.   Please make note of the upcoming important events related to JSMC Elections Candidate Forum: Sunday, November 9th, 2025 starting at 11:30am CST in the main hall Request absentee ballots: Now until Sunday, November 9th, 2025, 5:00PM CST Last day to cast absentee ballot: Saturday, November 15th, 2025 11:59pm CST Election day at JSMC: Sunday, November 16th, 2025 10:30 am to 3:30pm CST   Contesting Candidates Here are the contesting candidates for the four (4) open positions for Board of Trustee (BOT) including their ballot numbers as they will appear on the electronic ballot. Their names will appear in the order of their ballot numbers:

Candidate Bios Please follow this BOT Candidate Bios to read biography of each of the contesting candidates to learn more about their background and vision.   Candidate Forum: Sunday, November 9th, 2025 @11:30 AM Each of the above five (5) contesting candidates for the BOT positions will have a chance to present themselves to the JSMC membership in the candidate forum on Sunday, November 9th, 2025. The candidate forum will start sharp at 11:30 AM in the main hall and each contesting candidate will be given 5 minutes to present. All members are invited to come and join us in this forum to learn about these candidates.   Absentee Ballot Request: Saturday, November 1st to Sunday, November 9th 2025 The Absentee ballot system is now available to all eligible voters. Please follow Absentee Ballot Request to request absentee ballot before November 9th, 2025. You will need to upload a valid government or state issued ID to request the ballot. Once approved by the judges, you will receive a link via email to cast your ballot. You will have until Saturday, November 15th, 2025 11:59 PM to cast your vote electronically     Election Day: Sunday, November 16th, 2025 from 10:30AM to 3:30PM CST In person election day is Sunday, November 16th 2025 starting at 10:30 am until 3:30 pm CST at JSMC.   Please note that all the Executive Committee positions are uncontested and will not be speaking at the Candidate Forum. They will be declared winners after the elections are over on November 16th.
